View Full Version : Timeless Squad Rush Tournament!
What do you guys think about making a Timeless Gaming Squad Rush Tournament ?
People sign up on the website and register their team (4 man on each team).
If we wanted to be real "assholes" we could even demand a bet/donation of 20 euro for each team to enter the tournament via paypal, the winner would recieve 100 euro or something like that. The idea of this would ofc be that if we have enough teams, letīs say 8-10 teams sign up 20 euro each = 160-200 euro ~ Timeless gets about Ģ100 ;) And more members, some teams would like to compete again.
Ofc it would be best to start this off for free, just get people interested, make this a little "fun match" thing. Then when we got them hooked, we charge them :haha2:
This would increase the population and could help pay for the servers and maybe in time completely pay for the servers ;)

Dont know if charging for tournament spots is a great idea, but we'll see where things head once this goes live. I'm definitely up for it if its on a reasonable time, ie. weekend nights.
Even if we don't make money directly from it (by charging), we'll at least get some eyes on the community and hopefully a lot of new members.

well i think its good with the price thing later and not on start of it but the amount should be lowerd then later on raise when it get more populare cous then people would wont to do it more and then its like if we say the tournament is like a 3 match game it will become like a calander and people haft to book a time and play after then it will probly be very succesfull :)
Ofcourse we start this off for free! as a fun match thing. Bring your mates and meet different challengers.
We could just as well start this off with pretty much only peeps from here, I know we talked about this in 2142 after the first AYBABTU encounter.
Would be fun if we try making different squads here in Timeless and (at first) make a leaderboard here.
regarding server slots, how about the Titan server that is not running now ? I donīt think there should be any issues replacing a 48 player slot server with an 8 server slot ;)

I am 120% in for this! As soon as we get a squad rush server, making the different teams will not be an issue!

haha well i got an great ide later if it goes well make it a little bigger to get some spec to do some screenshots or record it so it dont like lagg for that player if it does it idk and make some sweet clips and so on if it's cool with every one :D

yooo,
we stopted the bf2142 server only temporary to get a bit better performance for the other servers.
we will restart the server when patch 1.51 coming out.
ashhof is still thinking to shop around to get a new rack, but at the moment is it waste of money, because he is not playing.

when we dont get all bf2142 servers full after the patch, we will switch to bc2
