Is it possible to remove the interface ?

Now that I am making the BC2 movie, I am wondering if it´s possible to remove/hide the interface, so that one can record as a "cameraman"?

I am talking about hiding the crosshair, ammo count, map and weapon. I know this is possible in a lot of other games, but Dice has never liked the idea of reverse engineering.. So BC2 might be a pickle in this case.

And is this a PB violation?

Might add then, that if I manage to hide the interface and it´s a PB violation. Then can we make one of our server unranked for 2 hours e.g. no PB so that we can record some footage ? This is only if I manage to remove the interface.

You mean that you want to be able to play without the HUD? (Even if you just want to do it for the sake of good footage, wouldn't it be difficult to actually get good footage if you don't have the HUD? And doesn't Hardcore mode hide a lot of those things for you? That might at least be a start.

Have a look at the results, no one knows a way to do it, all say that it is not possible. In one answer I read that DICE uses internally such a feature but it is obviously not ready for public release (don't even know if that is correct).

I want to remove the HUD so that I can be the cameraman, and take footage of other ;) I was hoping you guys were in for some good action packed scenes.

I already have some scenes planned. But if I can´t remove the HUD then I don´t wanna do them, as it will look ugly with the HUD.

Put it into hardcore mode, and then just trim the outside edge ;)

Found another way to do this.

But it requires a server with no server messages. I can record in the upper left corner or lower right corner if it´s a hardcore server, that way none of the HUD´s will be shown. Well except for server messages and kill messages.

I will test this out.
