View Full Version : Weird server disconnects
Once i launch the game, i can play for roughly 20-40 minutes on any server before i get disconnected. I get disconnected from the SERVER and not from the master server (EA).
I ruled out connection issues as i dont get disconnected from Teamspeak etc. Also ruled out my anti-virus as its been turned off at some disconnects. I've also turned off UPnP on my router. UAC and all firewalls (inbound and outbound) are turned off.
Im running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and a D-Link DIR-635 wireless router.

Do you get any PunkBuster messages? I've had random disconnects before but that was because PunkBuster was having trouble updating or something.
Never got a PunkBuster message. Running the game/launcher as administrator as well.
Also, the disconnect only happens ONCE per launch. So unless I relaunch the game for any reason i only gets disconnected once, then its fine.
The only other thing I can think of is that your network card might have a problem, causing you to lose data packets temporarily which makes you disconnect.
Check to make sure you've got the latest drivers for your network card.
I doubt it has anything to do with my computer and its hardware. I didnt have any problem in Windows XP.
Edit: The driver is up-to-date.

or do you just play and then you are in the menu?
I guess it says "You have lost connection with the server. Please connect again" or something. Then back to the menu, still logged in.
Did you simply try right clicking your shortcut and choosing 'run as admin'.
Its simple, and solves a lot of problems, not sure in your case though :)
