it will come to PC m8 but i think they are only testing on xbox
nope it wont I bet, because PC users arnt noobs who buy add-ons so they wont sell it to us
from Bazajaytee
The question of "What about PC?" is coming up in the comments quite a lot already so this is what the situation is.
No, we haven't signed away rights to console on this.
The problem we have on PC is that all our servers are dedicated with providers. Changing a server from Conquest 32 players to Onslaught 4 players cuts out 28 player slots from the total ammount available. This could have a dramatic affect on the PC online environment if enough servers changed to Onslaught.
We aren't ruling out Onslaught on PC but at this time we are researching how to bring it to PC without affecting players who don't have Onslaught or their own server to run it on.

Yes we have but im not admitting it now

and we havnt worked out a way of milking the suckers for this yet

and we dont want to provide them ourselves

We ARE ruling out Onslaught on PC BECAUSE we are EA/DICE which means that we have already put as much real effort into this game as we were ever going to and anything else we do will be a mess up so why would you really want it....

What's so difficult with 4 slots?
Before the patches you could set up 28 reserved slots
and boooooom 4 slot server... it's not that difficult
And what change in the environment?
Do they think, that all servers will go to onslaught mode? :epic:

Onslaught Mode is 4 player co-op against a map full of enemy AI. It looks like there will be objectives you have to complete to win the round and the enemy will use various weapons and vehicles to try and stop you.
You have to remember butch, although there are only 4 human players, there are infact several hundred bots to also work out.
So although a server can hold 32 players, it can't necessarily host 8 4 player onslaught game modes, as the additional load on the server due to the bots, will slow the whole server down a little bit.
In the thread that I quoted from, it was suggested that the game mode should be made peer to peer, but that would involve putting server script into the game client, which EA will not do for previously discussed reasons.
I just hope this comes for PC

yes, but only on consoles...
EA / DICE probably know, that the bots are too scared of PC players, due to our evilness :muahaha:

console owns you!!!
:asianassault::gat::trig2::knife:
pfff... consoles... Have a hard time seeing how someone with a retard aim could own a pc player.

a retard aim? wtf is that :P
Easier to aim with mouse, then the sticks on the controllers.
For instance; if you watch videos on youtube of BC2, you can see if itīs a console player or a PC player by looking at how the aim moves around.
When watching console players, you see that the aim does not move as quickly around and that (even though) it might be a pro gamer, itīs harder for them to redirect the aim instantly at an enemyīs head. You also see that console players move more around in the X-axis in contrary to PC players where you notice that their aim is never really located in that slow aiming around in the X-axis, as it is with Console players.
PC players can much more quickly and precisely aim to the upper left/right corner and lower left/right corners and the areas within there.
I own an XBox 360 and played Bad Company on it a lot, but the aiming in consoles is simply not as good because of the Controllers.
But even so, yee you guys win this round regarding the Onslaught mode ;) <--- (I stayed on topic, well a little) :P
Erm, onslaught mode seems to still be coming to PC.....
@HolyDS One upside with PC is that you'll get a new game mode and new mode packs (map pack 3) and access to SPECACT all with this update.
From baza's twitter :)
lool thought it wouldnīt come for PC :P
hehe well then.. Guess PC owns console in everything then :P

kharak usless you have played on a console you cant say there is a difference... i have played on both PC and console and there is no difference
I have played on both, and there most certainly is a difference as far as im concerned.
I have played BC2 and MW2 on both platforms.
To me, the console just feels sluggish, i dont feel as in control of my character as I do on the PC.
The fact you have an inbuilt auto aim, proves that this needs to be compensated for ;)
yep got to agree with Dax there, I have also played on both
the graphics are a lot worse... even that they where on my PC on my old graphics card at lowest settings
the skill and teamplay of players on the console is far far lower than on the PC
your ability to control as effectively is compromised by the controller as compared to a mouse
and this shows up in the tactics of the players, I was able to top the board on every round I played despite not having played a console game in years.
saba im starting to worry about you.. you are not going over to the dark side are you???
