how do you take a panorama picture?

I took about 20 picturs then "stiched" them on photoshop.
normaly for A normal panorama you`ll need only 10-15 pictures, but here , because of the gun and mini map I had to take much more.
also, in real panorama photography, it is recomended to use "normal" lens and not A wide angled one (like on this game), which causes the "barrel" effect(looks like the corners are distorted).
so the Geometrics of the lansacpe needs to be delt with also, in photoshop
