Come on Pez, don't be so naive.
We shouldn't have to pay for new content like maps, weapons, etc because that would give a better gaming experience and an unfair advantage to people who don't buy them. This kit upgrade is only changing a few weapon/class skins and gives no advantage, other then getting rid of that annoying red beret the Russian medic wears (they may as well paint a target on that stupid red hat).
Because it has no game-breaking additions, they don't have to distribute it to everyone for free, so they won't. They know perfectly well that the vast majority of players are willing to pay a small amount for aesthetics like new camo designs. I'll be buying them because I want the option of different camo for different maps, and I want to make sure that the development team for BC2 stays open for as long as possible. I'm happy to pay a small amount if it means they'll keep the team making the map packs, etc. If they think there's not much interest in the game any more, they will start to pull people off it to work on other things. I want to see at least 10 new maps for BC2, and the only way to get the accounting department at EA to allow things like that to happen is if they get more money from BC2 players.
I just think that they pull of big money allready from The game. The price in Sweden for this type of games can be around 10-20 euros more than in the uk for example.
True, but unlike MMOs that have a monthly fee so developers can keep updating them, normal FPS games give the developers no new money once it has been sold. Unless they have lots of funding they end up making no new content and only fix big bugs when they appear because they will be busy creating a new game to make more money. It's crap how the gaming industry works, and virtually none of the developers are brave enough to try new ways in case it backfires.
I would love it if DICE made an MMOFPS version of BC2 with loads of much bigger maps, because I'm already tired of the current maps. I don't know why developers always think that making about 10 maps is good enough... I want to have at least 20!

i got the DLC yesterday and heres what i think...
pros..
you look awsome !!
on urban maps you blend in better wit walls/roofs
cons...
on snow maps you dont wear the usual white snow gear -.-' (epic fail)
there are glitches when you swim (shoulder pads come into the screen blocking 70% of your view)

What, you can't choose which camo to use when you spawn? I thought that they would at least program it so when you're on snow maps it switches your camo back. That sounds retarded.

well you have your 4 usual classes (medic, assault,engineer and recon) when you get this dlc you get 4 new classes (medic+,assault+, engineer + and recon+) the + means this is a SPECTAT uniform i.e medic = usual uniform... medic+ = spectat uniform for medic.. the spectat uniform changes on desert and jungle maps (for some odd reason no snow gear :P ) green in jungle and brownish yellow on desert on snow maps you get the jungle uniform :P (epic fail)... maybe this is just a bug but this is whats happening on xbox
