View Full Version : Anyone with problems getting demo to run?
I had problems originally gettin the demo to run. It came up with an error saying log-in to download manager to verify purchase or something.
You have to activate it at this link. It will save you a lot of faffing around as its not obvious.

No problems but i downloaded 2 demos, one from file planet and one from gamershell....
both were different sizes (the .exe) it may be they were compressed differently...
I had no problems with the gamershell file in any case.
No need to activate these 2 demos from what i can see...
my brother downloaded the demo few mins ago (but WWWWWTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFFFF HES AFK NOW XXXXDDDDDDD) so i cant play it right now but i think i will report to you any problems we solved then lol =D or what hardware is enough to play it well =)
Downloading now, hope it runs ok on my PC. :razz:
i get it on medium settings with a few at high. think i need two new gfx cards for this beast.
i played crysis few mins ago and wtf i was surprised =) thought its not that good but now i am convinced i will buy full version lol
i played with 1024 x 768 no aa
and all settings at low
still had about 30 fps the whole game... so i need a better graphic-card =) and then i will play with highsettings lol
hope you will try this game too =) really awesome =D
experimented a bit and now with the new drivers i get 1280x1024 on mostly all high except one or two settings. looks awesome!
The demo is brilliant but mine freezes 3/4 of the way through no problems with gfx or fps very odd if i restart the pc can play on all setting on low any one else had this

and how did you get all settings to high with many fps? what card do you use?
ok i tried crysis now and i could play the whole demo till your screen gets black and they are talking to you =) then it just goes to main menu (so i think it was the demo ^^)
I found mine froze at the same point so used a different route and went through till the end checked the console and seems to be a lot of errors with memory leaks which is worrying think its just a duff copy of the demo i am downloading the link hornet gave will try that one here is a exaple of the errors

hope its just this copy of the demo will try another one have seen on the ea forums a lot of problems with vista and crashes so mybe a duff batch of demos good old ea lol

For Nvidia GFX card users, download the latest gfx drivers ForceWare 169.01 beta
this covers one or 2 bugs with crysis. This might help you Havok.
I'm using Catalyst 7.9 atm and i run crysis ok.... latest is 7.10.... (i'll get now too lolz)

got mine working fine here ..think it was guru something or other ...also looks sheet hot on new pc ..as i have it on my old 1 and the difference is alot ...

Yeah, since updating my gfx drivers to 7.10, i get a glitch in 2142 game, an occasional flicker. Its not really that bad but it must be to do with the new driver, i dont think its related to crysis.
i get that too. sometimes the screen goes crazy but if i ctrl-alt-del then reenter game then it sorts itself out.

well.....i have it on my Laptop and it runs perfectly....no Problems - no Bugs or anythink like that...I LOVE MY LAPTOP !!!!

and no one will stop playing bf2142 =) they will play crysis for a short period of time and then they will come back to bf2142 then they all are noobs and you can knife all of them easily =D

I must say was really excited but was a bit disappointed after playing the Demo....maybe i was awaiting too much...ok the graphics are really cool...and the nano suit rocks but it feels a bit like a powerd up Far Cry.... i got no Bum Chicka Waaaaw waaaaw:D effect in it.....i think i will buy CoD 4 thats like seeing the War on TV but youre inside......
