Ok in 2 weeks Timeless server well have new New M8 server Box hear is the spec
1U SERVER CHASSIS S5000 PAL
2 x intel 5160 XEON 3.00GHZ 1333FSB Dual CORE 4MB Cache
2 x SAS Drive 73 GB Each 146 Raid 0
4GB memory
This is a custom build server cuz No game service Provider offer this spec at all :)
this is going to be for the new up comming games but i well transfer some of the 2142 server over it to see and test the server it should be a blast :) if this Server preform good then ill replace the old one as well
so we well end up with 2 server box of this spec
the Running server now well be for the 2142 and BF2 when new games are out
if you guys want me to add any new game please let me know ill add it up
so we have Fun

i do have some deal with them not going with normal server packaged not even
thair top server come close to my standerd :) i do owne the ownership of the servers i buy the bandwidth from them only thats a special deal. by the way the timeless server is 12mbit/sec 24/7:)
in Game VOip and Team speek is running on thair server :)
i just utilize the server for the Game Only thats made Timeless Ti server one of the most popular in world i guess it is ranked 11 worldwide and number 1 in europ i did not check for a while now
i run 3 server on this box now ti and CQ and have the 3ed one working some time but some of the very experianced players like HORNET the buger can notic that so i am just running to on it it can run more but for EXTREM LATANCY i can run 2 only
with this set up alot of players noticed that timeless server is smooking fast
yet i want to bulid another one with the latest tech out there ill post how it perform
ill POST some data of the performance and bandwidth of timeless server shortly
bare in mind that this is 4 cpu server wahahahahahah

That sounds great, are you putting in 2 processors cause if you are, you would probably be better off getting 1 x5355 quad core processor, about 25% more expensive than the 5160 and almost double the power :D

i hade a very long talk about 2 x 5355 thats 8 core cpu wahahahaha but all of the experts say that 2 issue about it
1- no programs can run 8 core efficiently and 2142 could not utilize the 8 cours
2- thay are not as fast as clock speed as the 5160
but you know what ill be switching the old one with 2 x qouad core and compare them :)
just trying to get a good deal on the old box

i my self try them both the extream 2.9 and the quad core cpu qx6700
and i over clock the hell out of them man i fry cpu more then i fry eggs wahahahahah
and i can tell you in game 2142 fps on empty server was 230FPS 90 - 100 FPS on full server thats on both quad core running 3.57 GHZ 1.6 V ppl dont try this if you have no knoledge what are you doing or you well 1000 $ cpu in the dust bin in i would say 5 sec :)

Lol the way its goin... we need a new semiconductor material... i heard they workin on usin plastic as the ideal replacement ! its true ! lol we already nearing our smallest size that silicon can be before it fails with even a low voltage flowin thru it. Its gettin expensive to just use a pc let alone buy the parts, mine runs at 450watts+ while gamin lmao and 280watts+ just browsing !

Ok news the server should be ready this comming monday i will transfer one ip adress most likely the titan server and test the performance of the server cpu,etc etc it should be good for players playing there since all this power running one server only
then ill move other server :)
will it is going to be one more week guys sorry so next week from now

now the server is due next week ill switch one titan server most likly the suez one and would do some test like running it 64 players and see how it gose ill end up 2 server in the new box and 2 server on the old box
New Deadicated Server Is Up And Running SUEZ CANAL 193.93.46.78 server on it ATM will do some tessting and move across maybe one more of the old server will keep it for the new games :)
and look how is the new Cpu working :)
64 Titan Player IS now up and running Have FUN

That 60slots Suez WOW :D but its laggy here and there while shields down (hard to fly in gunship) and my average FPS is down form 85 to 40 :-x
i had 15 fps yesterday so no worries:rolleyes:

Wots the spec of ur pc m8 (CPU & GFX) and wot Res/AA/AF settings U usin in BF2142? Also have U got the in game video settings up full or have you turned a few down? I'm trying to determine if its soley my CPU letting me down during 64 player titan or if there is another reason. I understand that more players, more pull on ur cpu(s) /ram. cheers

I think as long as you have a core2duo you will be fine, for me it makes no difference if it's 64 or 48 player and I'm running a 1680 x 1050 res (22" widescreen my Big Daddy :)
I have a 7900 gs atm, so I have turned off aa and af, with effects on low, everything else is medium with geometry and viewing distance on full.
Lag is generally a server issue and all players regardless of spec experience it, until ea sort it out we will have to live with it when people use the titan aa guns.

I got 2 1900xtx's and run any game i want at 4-6x AA and 16x AF @ 1600x1200 to 1920x1200 max settings and not a wimper from my system. BUT BF2142 in titan mode sucks, i don't think its been coded too brill as my dual core 4600 cpu struggles when i hit the 64 players server. Yet offline i have no problems at all (conquest) And no problems with any other games. I don't want to hear it guys... dual channel 2gig ram, Dual 512mb 1900's, dual core CPU@2.4ghz, 2x 73gb raptors raid 0, latest drivers, 10meg broadband using local servers, low pings...etc etc... This is complete nonsense, EA have done a bad job on BF2142 titan mode, as on paper, my pc, bf2142 max settings, Ash's new top spec server.... would see no lag at all ! :X God damn it, a commodore vic20 could probably run this game offline... ( ;) )

Ok i admit, it might take a little time to load BF2142 from the C2N cassette deck and the 3-32k expansion pack might be required but i bet it would work eventually

There is a highend pc included. with 19 zoll monitor and 2 gb ram with a 256 mb grafic card. the automat has wireless lan 20 mb ADSL2+ internet connection
i´ve made my own usb platine to play with the joysticks and the firebuttons configure with the usb on my computer and ready is the arcade playstation ;)
i´ve paint the sides and fronts in black next time i will make my own grafics for the sides
I know this tread is deadly old.. But now that we are gonna switch to Battlefield Bad Company 2.. Do we need to upgrade our serverr? e.g. Quad core servers... ? So that Sim speed will be as efficient as possible..
If so, what other upgrades are needed? Costs? etc..
good you have reminde me i was about to updat the server when my rackage guy told me to wait there is core i7 comting to the server side that what is holding me
Nice, I was going to suggest the Core i7 if you were gooing to upgrade the servers.
The game will be compatible with multi-core, so servers should run really good :)
