Right this is getting ridiculous now, I understand FF=OFF means more players but the gameplay is stupid, tonight I've had to come off to find another server, sorry but BOTH Suez canal servers are unplayable it is no skill just people bounching about like they have ants eating their scrotums, and lobbing RDX, it is silly and stupid.
Can't you at least enable friendly fire damage to a percentage, so these so called pro's take as much damage as we do? aka they wanna run out and go boom they go boom?
Sorry but if this carries on I shall have to leave Timeless servers because it really is getting stupid at times with players making huge scores from being arseholes.

It's when I see a team's titan swarming in players, they could be far more use on the ground

Hmmm well having a server where people are allowed to rank up huge points by throwing RDX about and abusing the FF-Off well duh yeah your going to get people on it, but the better players will leave.

I defend alot, and am tired of RDX noobs as I call them, because they're afraid to use a gun probably fire their ammo like a epileptic wanking in a nightclub having a seizure, so I end up at back of a corridor emptying my assault rockets into their craniums, oh wait yeah thats using some skill rather then "oh look at me jump up and down and detonate rdx"

I do tend to find that a lot of players on Titan Servers are on their to rack up scores rather than focus on destroying the enemy titan, the number of times I've managed to get onboard the enemy titan and take out two consoles without them noticing..

That happens alot, the entire team moves to defend like they do not notice the five silos aimed at us, nor the enemy titan which UAV shows is totally empty, nope its a rdx,turrent,apm,snipe fest on our titan :rolleyes:
I've taken down all the consoles before now, even taking the last one with pistol and whats left of my Lambart lol.

My twice as many game hours as yours and my twice as many commander hours as yours and disagree.
Less than 20% of titan games are won by titan core destructions. LESS
Thats not just my opinion either. Check out total2142.com forums. Its always the same story.
I seriously think you need to reconsider your game play tactics. Every circumstance has a different approach. With a couple of exceptions my kills vs death of each and every weapon is better than worse. In other words I adapt, avoid, embrace all appraoches to the game.
I have a frame rate of less than 20 on titans but I have my titan medals. I got my titan gold on a ff on server but i cold have had it 20-30 times on Ff off and i qualify for titan defense practically every game.
Its not skill in speed or macros Its skill in knowing the best way to win the game.

As Ziggy said, BF2142 is not meant to be a fast paced shooter where you look at just hammering the enemies defences, it's a tactical shooter where a commander needs to direct his forces in the best way he sees fit to win the round

Oh I adapt, I adapt all right don't worry it just bugs me what these idiotic pea-heads have to do in order to score, I've no trouble killing them mate, it just winds me up that they camp out like little cowards, rather then getting down and facing us like they have a ball sack not a transplant on their forehead :rolleyes:
I'm going to have a coffee and head back on and if a certain high ranking player is on their with his cyberownage god help him, I've one thirsty shotgun finger. :cool:

Nice attitude. I got real upset when i first played timeless servers too. Were not used to them. Always had played on FF on servers (UK official EA ones)
But I still rack up huge scores by adapting to the gameplay styles. Hate rdxers that bound about. I stay where my skills and FPS allow. I pod onto middle deck leaving apms then go drop onto back shelf and go inside. Few grenades into upper alleys then off to reload and check corridors etc.
Ad infinitum.
I try not to get into a rdx spamming contest with the other side cause i will lose.
What i often do is throw apms about then go for a silo.
Pod back up and sit in titan guns. Both apms get triggered go down leave some more.
Always watch the titan guns. Respawn as engineer now and again and repair.

Pod away get a silo pod onto enemy titan shoot aa guns. (Die horribly)
respawn as supply if needed go resupply rdx spammers.
I pride myself on the fact that my kills as engineer, assault and recon are almost the same. (I dont usually like support lol)
Mr squeaky clean. never padded, glitched ...never been banned in this game or BF2.
Only ever been kicked twice (other than idle) both by a Timeless adminsitrator which have eventually led me to being a thankful admin on Timeless servers.

I tend to run as engineer in the opening moments of the game and keep an eye on the titan gunz, if we are having issues with a silo due to a camping tank, I tend to pod down remove the enemy tank into ebay sized pieces and then pod back up, helps boost the K/D Ratio

Whereas with me, I'm usually in the middle of th action using my shotgun, I often get a high in-round K/D ratio but because I had awful ratios for the first few months of playing mine is still below 1...
You are moaning about RDX and you sit on the titan repairing guns. loooooool.
Both systems are used to get more points. I just prefer blowing people up than fixing guns but if thats what you enjoy.
I did see your ingame chat over the last couple of days where you are abusing players using RDX. Either go and shoot them, RDX them or stay away from them but please watch your attitude in the server.
It is a game after all.

....i absolut agree with G-Zap....and its an absolut useless discussion....
and yesterday evening i saw AndrewJ playing - he was on last Deck of Titan and he layed down his 4 packets of RDX in a straight Line to the entrances....sorry but thats really a poor style for me:-( because people which land have no chance and hes in safe position - if someone is faster than me - ok maybe i learn something....everyone knows that all RDX Party dudes from Timeless are not doing this in that way...we are just fast with the Mouse - No Macros like many people think...we are trained in this - but its like everytime - when the people are moaning about this and you kill em by knife or by Carabine - youre a Cheater.....muahahaha - i like it when youre pissed.....be fast or be dead !!:D Thats it.....

The I have had enough and someone IS GOING TO DIE, plus it normally is a one kill wonder since it uses up my RDX.
So satisfying to get one back though when I am being hammered.:cool:

then why dont you blame ea for the glitches? you blame/kick/ban those players who do that not ea ... so =) but glitching is not as bad as rdxhopping xD but i hate both ways to make points lol

i meant ea is guilty because they did not remove all the glitches (or made some faults)
but they even did not do something against the rdx thing, so why should you do anything what the server says? everything you can do in bf is allowed, isnt it? (expect cheating) so baseraping shall be allowed, rdxhopping shall be allowed cuz the only thing you can do against this is doing the same or preventing the enemies from doing that =)

Im new here on this forum, but since ive been playing on timeless server i believe i have "right" to say few word in here.
First of all id like to tell im really happy to had an opportunity to spent time and playing awesome games on timeless servers. Ive seen all kinds of styles in playing this game. All though i must say that today i came to.... I can not even describe my feeling... Ive seen RDX jumping on roof and over walls, but now... Today... In my last game... It has never happened before... RDX ULTIMATE WHORING.... Ive know that there are some people just running with RDX in their hand towards enemy soldiers and blowing them up. And its been annoying every time. BUT!!!!!
When having a big game which has maximum amount of players. And one player kills you several times WITH RDX.... Now thats fuc..ing annoying!!! Im sorry to use such language, but it really isnt playing anymore. Such losers should get banned for life... MACAU...(something) was players name and he was in the top on the scoreboard quite lot... My first death on the beach when i started playing, immeadiatelly without any movement ...
When i complained later someone replyed something like"when your team does it, it doesnt seem to mather"... Well of course it mathers. For the love of god PLEASE.... PLEASE do something on this mather on your timeless servers!
I noticed in the start, that there was several low ranked players also. What a way to start new game like this and then some RDX fools come to leech you in the search of points! Poor them...

Thanks for your input. We are proud of our servers and their high rankings. Our Gibralter server does suffer with baserape and if you check the "I am banned why" section most of the people requesting to be unbanned there are from the Gibralter server.
As to RDX we have tried other settings and do you know what?
FF OFF servers are far far far more popular than servers that have FF on.
We have honestly tried a Gibralter server with settings that would not allow RDX use. It never ever got full.

Hmmm, thats tricky. To have halv empty servers is not productive. I understand. Rather off having FF on you need to have FF off to get more people. Like i read earlier some one said that good players will leave. I guess good players will leave (even those who favour FF off) from FF off servers when this RDX problem will come to an peak.
Im not taking timeless servers off from my favourite server list quite yet. But sadly if this continues later on with a such magnitude i must consider leaving timeless. :(

I am still in game on Timeless and can honestly say that I was killed only once last round by RDX as I spawned in our base. Another banned spawn raper.
It sometimes does get chaotic but there are dozens of ways to avoid the rdxers.

Gltiching is not as bad as RDX 'hopping' ??
RDX is a weapon, not a glitch, u can place up to 5 of them, as and when you want...
'hopping' - Jumping, this occurs in pretty much every FPS i've ever played as well as platform games etc. Glitching ..... The use or exploit of a known issue, more than likely to do with bad programming, overlooked issues, like the titan box, titan wall and buildings, geometry and other related things. RDX hopping is no glitch, its a distinct advantage, yes, to those who apply it, but its no glitch, this was a deliberate part of the game design, not a cheat or anything similar. If i catch people glitching i will kick or ban them, RDX 'hopping' nope, good fair play.... Some servers dont like this RDX use and kick for it.... Timeless simply put do not. Drop this issue as its been brought up far too many times, theres an argument that there is no time delay between the drop and detonation of RDX, thats it... this has been known since day one. Timeless like the servers to be FF-OFF this suits RDX players til they've blew their own pants off...
deal with it, use another server but quit arguing about it as its a pointless argument.

I started reading "why am i banned" section. Intresting bedtime stories. Ive been killed many times in the spawn area. I understand that accidents/mistakes happen. Sometimes one might get carried away by the killing thrill not to notice that its spawn area where you are throwing your nades. But like this RDX supject, there has to be some kind of a limit. I think the purpose is not to ban everyone from small and occational thingies/mistakes. But those severe /continuous slaughters that are NOT allowed... those players should get bans. And if they REALLY desire to play again they will come to timeless forum ask for forgiveness. But if they will not come on forum they can stay banned... Then admins could consider that such a banned player does not wish to play fairly, only leech points.
And as they ask forgiveness admins could ask them to stop RDX whoring.

I will usually be in game or watching the console i.e. what people are saying in game within a few mins of being notified of an issue.
If you are getting constant rapers let me or any other admin know.
People like yourself that care about the gameplay quality can always play an important part to make the servers fun to play and the best in the world.

and catziggy you said you tried timeless gibralatar with ff on and didnt get a full server... our clanserver is always full with players, or at least that many to play there (but i think most only join when there are admins) so perhaps with more admins on 48/64 slot servers and ff on could keep some players and will be the same gameplay then =)

If you added up all our servers global ranks they wouldn't add up to yours. Trust Ashoof. he has had servers a long long time and knows what the public want.
We respect his choice and despite some of us not liking some of the settings accept them and just get on and adapt to them.
