What has happened?

Hi, -=DR=- GrimSqueaker here. New to the forums, but have been spurred into posting by what seems to be an almosy complete lack of admins on some servers. I always used to enjoy timeless servers, since I started playing BF2 and when I moved onto BF2142. Recently though, there seems to be have been almost no admin on at all. Yesterday I played through maybe 5 rounds on the Suez Titan server, with someone sitting in the crates in the cargo bay through all 5 rounds. I have screenies, will put em up when I've uploaded them.

Today I went on to the same server, and the chat was full of trash talking, abuse, and general idiotic spam. What's happened? Is this BF2142 going the same way as BF2, or is simply the effect of the school holidays here in the UK?

One way to get rid of it would be to quietly turn Friendly Fire back on. It seems the ones who spam and abuse others the most are C4 junkies. The round i just finished, I physically couldnt land on the roof of the PAC titan without being blown up. The entire deck was carpeted, there was no way to board. I managed to pod into a vent, and 3!! people dropped down and lobbed C4 at me. I managed to get one, I think, before the other 2 detonated.

If you turned Friendly Fire on, not only does it make the game more fun, but it scares off all the trash talking idiots who can only get points with C4. Otherwise, I'll have to buy my own server :roll:

Sorry for the glitchers but if you have a read though the forums there are a lot of servers to keep an eye on. If you get screenshots, post them on the forum and we can make sure they dont play on Timeless again.

Regarding the C4. These are Friendly fire off servers. We have tried Friendly fire on but nobody plays on them. You might need to buy your own server but if you cant get anybody playing on it, you can always come back to Timeless for a game.

I am one of the most "Apparent" admins on the servers as during UK times I am generally not far away from the pc. I have been away a few days for health issues but am back now.

We don't allow ANYONE to spoil the game for you and all honest players.

rdxhoppers are a problem but imo why timeless is that popular and always filled up with players is the fact that ff is off many people like rdxhopping and many hate tk.. so they decide to join timeless servers =)

and yes admins are not there the whole time but you can scare the players if you say you will post some screenshots with them glitching anywhere =) or cheating i dont know just anything

Come and play CQ & NS with us. You'll still have to worry about RDX but at least you'll see them coming...(well unless G-Zap is on the server).

Actually to endorse what the kind other admins have said.

RDX is only a very small part of the issue. We have NO arguments or bad feelings about accidental TK's.

Our players get huge scores from their apms, rdx, titan gun play etc.

This is why our servers are so popular.

I spent some days recently playing many many other servers to see what was popular and what wasn't.

I found that more people were put OFF from FF on than were not enjoying the flaming and the name calling and negative scoring than FF ON causes.

Our players like the settings. Me? I don't bunny about so my score is based on mostly Voss and reviving On Cq servers and titan repairs and apms on titan servers. Actually i think i am 200 something in the world for apms lol.

Adapt. Learn whats the best method to avoid RDXers.

If you need a badge then post about it. "How can i get Titan attack gold? How can I get transport pins" etc.

You will always get consise and accurate and helpful answers.

if you see some rdxers (how catziggy called them) then get your knife and hunt them perhaps they get afraid and run away... or they just blow you away lol
