I wanted to over clock my Q6600 so I ordered a CPU watercooler - which turned out faulty.
The downside is that my
Striker Extreme Mobo is screwed as is my Q6600. After spending ALL day trying to get a different processor - a Q8200 just to test if it was my processor screwed, my PC would boot up but not beep.
My Radeons would display 3 lights - indicating power issues so I messed about with my old PSU (500w :() instead of my Corsair 1000w unit but still no joy. After doing the usual taking out RAM sticks etc, still no joy. My monitor wouldnt even display.
I finally dug up my old AMD fx55 processor with 3GB of RAM on a Asus A8n SLi - plugged in my radeon (just 1 ) and fired it up and bingo it worked.
I am SOOOOO angry and as such threw my iphone in rage, breaking it. Overall an expensive weekend. I got Battlefield on Friday and probably cant play it on this system :( - Hopefully at the end of this month, I will get myself a new MOBO and processor.
Transport tycoon here I come! LOL
