View Full Version : How to do: BC2 Veteran Status

here can you sign up your BF Veteran: http://veteran.battlefield.com/
1. Step: login with your EA Account
2. Step: choose your game, which you want to sign in
3. Step: type that whats required and sign up
4. Step: the symbol must be now in color, if not than it didnt worked and try it again
It wont give you a special Unlock/Weapon like in BF2142 like the BF2 "2" before your name, it will only show a number of your Veteran Status on the Scoreboard in BC2.
Required for each game:
BF1942 und Add-Ons: Keys
BFVietnam: Key
BF2 und Add-ons: BF2-Accounts Ingame (Gamespy ID)
BF2142: Login des EA Acounts Ingame (not the email)
BF2142 Northern Strike (automatically)
BF Heroes automatically
Modern Combat, BFBC1: Gamertag or XBox Live ID
BFBC2: not yet
BF1943: not yet
assessment of each game:
Game 1 -> Status 0
Game 2 -> Status 1
Game 3 -> Status 2
Game 4 -> Status 3
Game 5 -> Status 4
Game 6 -> Status 5
Game 7 -> Status 6
Game 8 -> Status 7
Game 9 -> Status 8
This list shows you which game will boost your Veteran Status and which not

Hmm Strange, He Doesn't accept my 2142 account name. He says "Invalid username and/or password."
I used the same as i logging in 2142 game. Is that correct?
Edit: Ok Now it worked :)

Same happened for me.. I entered the 1942 key in, but some cd-key hacking b**tard has taken it.. I have to report it to the Danish EA division which is completely retarded when it comes to Customer service.. So donīt know how long it will take until I can get my Veteran rank up.

Sometimes it says "Your key has already been claimed" or something along those lines.
I just kept trying, it eventually worked. I had problems with both my 1942 and Vietnam keys. But they both worked eventually.

in the beta I was able to log in with my usual EA account data, wich I also used at 2142 :wacko:
we'll see tomorrow if I get it :(

There is some news about veteran page too... they are fixing it, because of high traffic :)

This feature is crap. I just tried to updadte my status and realised that some hackerbitches aready "claimed" my BF Vietnam code, as well as the one of BF 1942. What meaning does the marking of vet-status has, if obviously most of the "vets" have stolen their keys (problably never have played the real BFs). Once again a ridiculous publicity measure by EA to comfort their main customers -- lame glitch/hackkiddies. Sad. EA stirkes again. Vet-Status is worthless......

have you tried to enter the same key on several times? Maybee thats the clue:D
I have the M1 Garand unlocked when I lookat the Weapons & Gadgets section of the main menu, but it's never listed in the kit options in-game. This is apparently a bug with EA's master servers, so I hope they fix it soon because I really want to use it!

I was able to register all my Keys: BF1942 + Booster Packs, BFV, BF2, BF Heroes, BF2142...
But let me just say one thing: This whole Veteran thing is just a methode from EA to get your keys registered, so that there are less pirate copies.
So I guess if you once registered your key (and this blue registration thingi pops up in every old BF part right after the installation), you can't use it in the Veteran thingi...
Thanx for the tipps. Anyway its not working and actually its not too important for me personally. So everything is easy. The game is ok (although its not to exiting).

I did as Jx3Aroo said, I spammed the submit button but just kept saying the same, I then tried with Bad Company Gold Edition.. But my Xbox gamertag is not connected to my ea account and my xbox is broken, so no luck there, but then I returned to 1942 and it worked on the first try :D

and Roz I canīt wait to use it either.. I played bc2 before it was released in europe and I had it, it was good, but later that night I couldnīt select it anymore.

I have been trying for a week to sort my veteran status as I never got around to it originally.
did a google search and found the solution
go to EA.com / support and log in
click email us (on the left)
fill in the details as below

then click live chat
tell them your problem and give them your email and CD-key's for all your battlefield games and they will sort your veteran status
Ye I donīt think it will work..
I tried helping a buddy of mine get this 1― month ago, it looked just the same.
well it worked perfectly when they did it and only took 3 minutes for an advisor to come on. they took my cd-keys and sorted it straight away, 10 minutes later i was on BC2 shooting my new gun
i got my veteran status with battlefield heroes and i got another point by speaking to someone from customer support on live chat today .. so if you try it still works :)
Guess things have changed since we tried... We kept being redirected to the "new" veteran status website, and everytime we clicked it. We got redirected to the same website we were one, then there was this 2nd choice which let us to a blank website.
Happy to see it works now though :)
Congrats with your new M1... psssst.. It has a lethal head shot, no matter the range with magnum bullets. Trade secret :P
I got my veteran rank automatically from BF Heroes even though i never spent a second playing it or even downloaded the game/plugin. And i've tried getting 2142 to my rank but it wont work.
