So i'm gonna start my new Casemodding Project:
Project Raven (Silverstone Raven RV01 (click) (http://www.silverstonetek.com.tw/raven/products/index.php?model=RV01&area=usa))
Hardware will be:
CPU: Intel Core I7 980X
GPU: EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 (http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/015-P3-1589.pdf)
MB: EVGA X58 Classified 3 (http://www.evga.com/products/pdf/141-GT-E770.pdf)
RAM: 12-GB-Kit - Corsair Dominator GT DDR3-1866 C9
HDD: 1x SSD Corsair Force F80 - 80 GB // 1x 36 GB WesternDigital VelociRaptor / 1x WD 500 GB
Sound: X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series
Watercool equipment:
I already got a Laing DDC Ultra pump and a Watercool MoRa 2 Pro Radiator with 9 Fans controlled by a
Control Unit (Aquaero 4.0) which is produced by Aquacomputer.
First one is the CPU Cooler - 2nd is the Mainboard cooler and iam going to use 13/10 water connections
13 / 10 means: 13mm Outer Diameter // 10mm Inner Diameter of the tube
... and maybe some more ...
The flow of the water will start at the pump and pass these "stations:"
Pump -> CPU -> MB -> GPU -> RAM -> Radiator -> Compensation reservoir
and somewhere in this circulatory a temperatur and a flow sensor.

Firstly i started to change the front LED's, sleeving some ugly cable's, redirect them to the back of the Mainboardtray
and tested the installation of compensation reservoir.

Something "old" but i will still use it for my new watercool system.
Just ignore the old case.^^
Because i can't install my monster radiator (measurments: (L x B x H): 428 x 388 x 57mm) into the case, i have to use an extern solution and here it is:
It's my selfmade rack and it will be on the ground. I don't want to install it again on or at the case:

Well i ordered an 180mm Silverstone Fan and its really good, but the blue LED's are ugly

That looks so nice! I really enjoy looking at the pictures of the whole process of modding, i cant do it (yet :)) but i thinks its pretty cool seeing the biginning middle and end of a build. Once again, NICE!

My other Hardware is on the way... but the damn GTX580 Hydro Copper 2 is still not in stock. EVGA said its because they don't finished the Watercooler design yet. :angry:
How do you afford upgrading all the time? Is it cheap in Germany?
I practically need to be a millionaire in order to get stuff like that around here.

i try to upgrade every 3 years... now the goal is to set up a system which will stay for up to five years.

Silverstone habe ich gelesen aber mehr leider nicht. My Project is a Pc in a Beercase ^^ . its not that spectaculer but my first 1 ^^ "working sometime on it"

Was du beschreibst hört sich sehr nach einem Kurzschluss auf der Platine an, und zwar auf der Rückseite des Boards dort wo meisst ne Backplate verschraubt wird ( oder halt auch mal nicht ), deswegen geht er nicht an. Dieses Problem ist alt bekannt und trat schon so gut wie bei jedem CPU Kühlerhersteller mal auf, es gibt z.B ein Coolermaster CPU Kühler den ich mir neulich kaufen wollte bis ich auf einmal in den reviews über zahlreiche Meldungen gestolpert bin in denen stand dass der Kühler mit seiner Verschraubung auf der Rückseite der Platine einen kurzschluss auf so gut wie jedem board verursacht. Dieser Kühler ist inzwischen bei den meisten Händlern verschwunden ( wohl von Coolermaster aus dem Verkauf genommen wegen dieses Problems ), bei alternate steht er halt noch drin ( auch wenn rot nicht lieferbar ) und bei den Bewertungen stand über all das mit dem Kurzschluss ( bei völlig unterschiedlichen Boards wohl gemerkt ). Kein Plan ob das bei Waterblocks auch schon Probs bei manchen Herstellern gab, jedenfalls um auf den Punkt zu kommen es ist halt ein Kurzschluss der dein Board nicht starten lassen will. Die werden bei EVGA auch bloss 1-2 Standard Tests machen ( und zwar ohne den ganzen Schnickschnak verbaut, sondern simpelst auf einer Testplatte ) und bei denen läufts dann natürlich und die sagen dir das mit dem board alles in ordnung ist, also nicht wundern wenns so kommen sollte ( kann ja sein das ich mich irre und das Board tatsächlich hinüber ist ).
Hoffe das hilft dir n bisschen weiter, ja manchmal sinds halt die Dinge auf die man am wenigsten achtet im Moddingwahn so wie ein Kurzer zum Beispiel lolz

War kein Kurzschluss, Mainboard wurd direkt ausgetauscht. Hab heute mein neues erhalten, den Testaufbau wiederholt und direkt mit 12 Gb RAM gebootet. Alles ohne Probleme :woohoo:
Today i got my RMA replacement from EVGA. Now everything works like it should. I booted it on the first try with 12 Gb RAM. Without any problems :woohoo:

And this damn cooler don't fit with preinstalled mainboard cooler :curse:.
I had the choice, uninstall the mainboard cooler to install the cpu cooler or
or cut away a piece from the cpu holder.. My choice was the 2nd. :D
