Really good work and a nice setup Xaphan. :good3:

But only a single Laing? :p I have 3 pics here (http://www.timelessgaming.com/forums/showpost.php?p=47718&postcount=111) with a higher priority for lower temperatures than optic. ;)

750 Watt PSU - and its only using 174 Watt.

And Btw. u don't know the rest of the hardware

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (130 Watt TDP)
Asus Maximus Extreme
Geforce GTX280
4 GB OCZ Ram

12 Fans (9 For the Radiator)
Waterpump and so on.

Energy Monsters :D

Ofi:

Look at the "Meisterkuehler" Link its the Log how i creat it - with many pictures.

Here some more impressions:

the time to do it, the motivation to do it, etc

Xaphan666

Ah ok... motivation was to build up a silent and powerfull system which is an eyecatcher in the living room.

I nearly needed up to 8 month to build it up. 3 month to get the stuff 5 month to install it, but i didn't worked on it every day.

Next one will be created 2011.. new hardware, new watercooling stuff etc.

Maybe with the EVGA X58 Classified or the replacement of it, but only if it has black / red color. :woohoo:

@Damon:

Yes one Laing is enough... two are really overkill.

With the one Laing i supply these components:

Radiator -> CPU cooler -> 2x Mosfet Cooler -> Northbridge Cooler -> Graphic Cooler -> Southbridge Cooler -> H.D.D. Cooler -> Compensation Reservoir

And the rate of flow is: ~ 117 liter per hour - thats more then enough. You only need more then 20 l/h to cool a system effective.

Is this normal water, or a special fluid?
what about leaking? how do you prevent leakage?

Xaphan666
15-11-2009, 13:30
special fluid - and fittings for watercooling

And before u install the water cooling components, u can test it whilst du connect a tube, close the second port and blow into the tube
and if their raise airbubbles its not leakproof.

Pictures say more then words:

Special Fluid:

http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p2394_Innovatek-Protect-ready-made-mixture-by-Aquatuning-1000ml.html

My opinion, this is the best u can have.

Two more please,
Does this coolent Has an expieration date?
and do you need special hardware for the water system (motherboard with special sockets etc...)?

Xaphan666
15-11-2009, 14:16
Nope, u just need a waterblock which fix to the mainboard specifications.

Before u buy the hardware u should look wether there is a water cooling block
available.

I think u should change the coolant every year.

No problem if u have more questions, then ask :-) and if you have a hardware list, which would you buy i could help search for the right waterblocks, pumps etc.

But be aware Watercooling can be very expensive... 300 up top 1200 EUR :woohoo:

Btw. EVGA and EK-Waterblocks (http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/) FTW!!!!!!

Lovely Lovely... i really love this board... EVGA will be my next choice mainboard!
(... but only if they have a MB with black PCB and red / black coloration - as i already said :P)
