lost all servers

hello can anyone help not played BF2142 in a fue months an now im not gettin any servers comin up?????? Thanks Paul

You need to update the version to 1.50
look for it on ea web site

i got that already was workin alright last time i played it just stop bringin up the servers

Then you need to install the updates again..

Reinstall BF2142 and start from scratch.. There is a tread somewhere in the Support Forum here, that says in what order to install the Updates :)

i just did it.

install 2142
then 1.40
then northern strike
then 1.40 again
then 1.50.

then a punkbuster update


that should do it.

not sure if ya really need 1.40 but so it always worked best for me.

i still cant get all the servers up ive got about 6 at best i uninstalled the game re installed it then installed 1.40, then installed 1.50 an then updated punkbuster resetin me computer inbetween each bit its doin me head in just cant see why its not workin

hmm... Do you have the PBsetup file? where you then choose which game to update?

I don´t have Gamespy Comrade installed, which is the program that comes with bf2142, and I have no problems.

This may be stupid, but try when in Multiplayer, go to Advanced search, and take all the X´s out of the boxes, like friendly fire.. Voice enabled.. just Un X everything.. maybe you have weird setup. If it was that you could not find any servers, my guess would be your firewall. But you can find about 6 servers you say? which ones are those?

theres 1 24/7 one the rest iv never herd of an they all have a really high ping ive tryed gettin rid of all the Xs but still no joy cant even use the IP to get on to the timeless servers ive tryed turning off me firewall an it dont do nothin me next step is to get the game off one of me m8s an try an install that seee if that works thets the only thing i can think of

I some times get about 3 servers listed and all my favorites go red in the list when i try to join any of them it says server generated an error. I normally just close the game down and reboot and that seems to fix it. I also turn my firewall off and any anti virus software and anything else that may cause any connection problems that run in the background. there is a little software called game boost its not a cheat or anything it just closes unnecessary background programs that my interfere so you get a better connection that seems to work and its free.

Its helped me by closing down background programs now my ping doesnt have a mind of its own any more and i can shoot straight without worrying about lag like normally i would go on timeless camp G with a ping of about 43ms then it would shoot up in the hundreds and then back down it fixed that
