No change from vista james, explorer runs faster, copying files etc, use the same drivers

as vista most of the time. XP is better for gaming esp if you have less ram (1.5gb or less)

If you have a low spec PC then stay with XP.

I have used my W7 around 2 weeks now and everything works great.
I have 64-bit version, but all 32-bit programs which i have tested had no problems in it. Also all drivers are working well :good2:

W7 is a lot faster for me than my old windows (32-bit XP). Loading times in games are a lot shorter, but i havent checked is my FPS changed.

I know Horny installed one of the new flash discs. ;) Did you test the performance with vista and win7 and do you have more performance with this disc under win7?

I read some articles about this feature under win7 and it should be faster on the flash discs than vista. :)

With my single 10k raptor i was booting a mildy busy Vista in 2 to 3 mins (with a few progs starting up etc)

With the OCZ Vertex SSD, i boot W7 in 24/25 secs with a few progs starting up.

I also have a laptop with W7 on, with a 7200rpm HDD booting in around 1.5 to 2 mins, again with progs starting up.
