BF2 and BF2142 are very Sqaud orientated games yet we hardly see players play in squads ???
Me olorian G-zap C-zap and the Big Titan Shagger Havoc and other players like sambuka ,Rozonus ,Sandsof , move together play together in game like 100% of the time
me being a crap.com squad leader as they always say, always like 99% score the best squad leader and all the squad members score in the top 10 players
we play almost any kind of bf2 and bf2142 Ti ,CQ ,NS and it works very very well.
Alot of the time we see players join our squad but never play as part of the squad, so they get kicked from the squad and guess what olorian always tell me that i am a basterd doing this :-(
Now lets have your input in this. Why do players join squads and not play in a team. It is very very obvious winning factor

Ok here goes......... only problem i see with squadplay on timeless is its too hard to get into the timeless squad, if im on otherside i wont change just to play with you unless there are less players, but when i am on your side, its a real race.
Now what i suggest is this , we are all on teamspeak so i think Ashoof and G-zap, take one squad, and Olorian Havoc/C-zap take the other then you get 2 full teams that are in constant communication, also you can compete against each other as you go.
As to whose squad you would want to be in, well..............that sounds like a poll to me :)
I think Ashoof's point isn't even just the timeless squad, but squads in general. People just join, then run around by themselves doing whatever they fancy. If this happens in our squad they will get kicked from the squad, which is fair enough I guess cause thats just the way we run the squads.
As for the timeless squad, yeh we usually are at full capacity, so sometimes we have to make a second squad, but we usually just make up the 6 for one. I guess this makes it difficult for non-regulars to get in it.
If you're on next time Exo and you're not in the squad give me a shout and we can have a wee squad together like the old days...in a pleutonic non-homoerotic sense of course ;)
Yeah i didnt just mean its a problem on timeless, was in a squad other week and guy in our squad drove past 3 of us all in same squad in an apc GRR!
If i was squad leader i would have kicked him off the planet let alone out of the squad, suffice to say i turned the voip blue with some choice language :D
If i'm in ur squad in future i'll stick with ya. I join a squad nowadays because of autobalance... weather i wanna play solo or not i gotta be in a squad so i dont auto to the losin team, effectively playin solo as squad leader or as squad member. Although i do believe that organised squads will beat any team, i also believe that the points system in BF2142 does not cater very well for squad players, its unfair as they doin what it takes to actually win the game. U hardly ever see the higher ranked players actually in a squad, movin with a squad and following squad leaders orders and i think its coz there is not enough points in that environment to quench their thirst for points.... unfortunately
When you say that you hardly ever see any of the higher ranking players in a squad -thats because the are desparate for the points. When we have played in the squad against these higher rank players, they might get a better score but if they are on the opposite team, they will never win. In fact when that titan shield goes down for the RDX party, we will have taken the first 4 consoles and then the game is over.
So it does pay to play in a squad that works together.
Join the squad if there is a space because the teamwork on 2142 can be great. If the squad is full, I dont mind setting up another. We can then have 2 working together.
One of my favourite things about BF2142 is the squad play. If it didn't have squads it would be as boring as any other FPS.

i prersonaly always join a squad , i went through a spell of being a squad leader, and i think im pretty good at it , when i join a server i always always join a squad , i also follow the leaders commands , unless i think he is useless so i would leave the squad and join another or create 1 , i always try to think ahead, to attack/defend silos that the enemy are heading for, 1 of the reasons i always start or join a squad , so i dotn get moved to the other side
that realy bugs teh hell out of me!
but imho squad play is teh way to go .

I'm up for squad play. I'm just as guilty as anyone of chasing points a lot of the time (I'm a competetive guy! ;-)), but there is nothing more rewarding than rushing a corridor full of nade spammers and taking out a console when you're in an organised squad :D. If I see ashoof or any of the other admins have made a squad, I'll join if I can and help out. I enjoyed attacking the enemy titan the other night in a squad with olorian and ashoof - and if I remember olorian got the gold medal in that round (titan attack and revive points) - so it's not always the point chasers who get the gold!

you know when we play i and one of the sqoud protect the sqoud by watching thair back for any c4 runners while thay keep charging like hell and respown on me befor thay know it titan is down and thats cooooooooooooooooowel

Glad to have you in the squad that night autodork. It was a good few games and you were a good squad guy. But I think we lost that one?
I guess a general warning to anyone who for some reason joins our squad...we are a bunch of noisy buggers, and expect shouting, some swearing and no doubt some singing.
