Hey guys! :)

I bought a new PC one and a half month ago.. And the first thing i noticed, was that HD resolution didnīt work on my screen.. I have a 37" LG 37Lg3500 Full HD screen..

And when ever i set the resolution, to be higher than 1024x768.. It goes bimbo!! Colors are completely off! The screen format is weird.. itīs kinda scary actually..

But this only happens when i use the HDMI/DVI IN connection, if i use VGA.. I can do 1920x1080 without any problem.. But at the cost, that i wont have true HD..

Now iīm using my old computer, because i put the new one in on the workshop for fixing.. I thought it was only the new computer, that had that error, but as i hooked this computer to my LG screen, i saw that it had the same issue.. And i then remembered that i used to use the VGA connection from this computer to the LG screen, and never tried to hook it up via HDMI/ DVI IN connection.. Anyways.. I am now connected through HDMI, and i went in on the Nvidia Control Panel, then on Signal for HD formats.. And my computer recognizes the LG screen. If i push the button, that says "Recommended Resolution" for this screen (Being 1920x1080) it goes bananas again..

PS. When using resolution higher than 1024x768.. The speakers keep giving this crackling sound.. I donīt know what is causing it.. Any ideas?

So something is either wrong with my LG HDTV or the HDMI cable.. What do you guys think?

Both my graphic cards should support HD, this older PC has the Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT and my new PC has the ATI Radeon HD 4850.

I really need help on this one! ASAP! Bought a HD Video Camera.. and i canīt really enjoy it! And iīm heading to ASIA on sunday.. so donīt know how much internet connection will be around me:) But need all the help i can get!

Peace out!

ok so you have the same prob with both cards to the LG, dosn't sound like a card prob. can you hook the camara direct to the LG and do you get the same probs?
i wouldn't think its the lead as it works on lower res sounds like the LG dont like the higher res to me but i'm no expert
hope this helps

hmm... Then i need to ask the people in the LG store why the ****! They put a full HD marker on the TV..

This is one simple rule! True Full HD is 1920x1080! If my TV canīt show that resolution! how the hell can they call it a Full HD TV.. "It has 1 Million pixels.. etc..".. ok this is ****ed..

Iīll have to go see them later on today..

But thanks guys.. :) I appreciate it!

Still weird that i canīt put the resolution one bit above 1024x768..
