The game will feature five new episodes. In addition to the infected from the previous game, there will be new classes; one is the Charger, a being that is able to temporarily stun the survivors by body-charging them. Existing types will have some modifications, including zombies that are immune to fire, and the Wandering Witch that roams the level until disturbed by the players.[2]
New melee weapons will be introduced, including a frying pan, an axe, baseball bat, and chainsaw, as well as updates to the existing weapons.The AI Director has been improved to encourage more participation by players, forcing players through difficult gauntlets to reach an extraction point, and the ability to alter elements of the level.The AI Director will also be improved to reward players for taking longer or more difficult paths through each episode by providing more useful equipment, such as incendiary ammo, along these riskier paths.

futhermore theres a lot of nasty comments about the state the game is and dont forget this is still being developed until november..

Zombies are people who died first, and then revived.These infected have some sort of disease
yeh and zombies are not allowed to run :)

I hate how they've gone so politically correct with it.
They've made the characters redneck Americans and are fixed on hammering that into you.

I think they should release L4D2 as a downloadable patch for L4D1. Not a brand new game so they rake in the cash.

Updated info... demo for xbox is released 3.11., so maybe it is released to pc too... im not realy sure about these dates anymore :lol1:
soo... how does this game work, do you HAVE to play on sertain servers or are the choice free as in bf with dedicated and such?
which of you guys is going to get this game? if i get it i dont just wanna play with john does :P but i might suck on it :P

These are from l4d 1, havent tested 2 yet...
Servers are not same as in BF, but i think there was timeless server at l4d, so it is possible to make one. But im not sure was it dedicated or not...
Also you can create your own game/server and it can be set that only friends can join in it, very useful.
Im going to get this, fun shooting around.
then im prolly up for it too :D
There, I've ordered it now, getting a baseballbat as a bonus I think :)
I don't know if this is news to you, but for me it was so...

I like the new "director", can change level layout and weather, sounds nice :)

Well, at least i know now why there is defiblators -> realism mode:
"X-Play's Abbie Heppe explains there are a few major differences. One, dead players will stay dead unless revived with a defibrillator -- keep in mind that each player can carry a defibrillator or a med kit, not both. Second, zombies must be killed with headshots, though it's hard to tell how strict this rule is in the video. Third, players have to be much closer to items in order to pick them up. Finally, there are many, many more witches."

no idea, the tank thingys is pretty strong as well, i preffer Expert diff, then everythings a bit hard :)

all players which played the demo, says that the game is cool... i will download the demo and try it... i didnt played the first l4d, is there a problem with the story with l4d 2?
no story really... Just fight your way to the end or survive as long as possible.
No storyline.. and in l4d 2 you have new characters.
Yep, witches seem to be the hardest ones :P But those big chargers are not easily stopped if its in a charge :/

Never had any problems before, now it's hopeless to play when something is burning and the hordes come :(

Mine also was messed up when update came, crashed all the time.
But right click l4d 2 icon -> properties -> Local files tab -> verify game cache. That helped for me, i had 4 corrupted files.
Did it, 3 files were acuired, now I'm gonna try it out :)

I tried singleplayer and it worked fine. but I had to do it two times, the thing you said, because after the first, my game wouldn't even start :/
Lost some achievements, but if it helps, I don't care :)
Gonna try if it lags anything in survivalmode when hell breaks loose too :)

Still lagging when I play in multi and lots of things happen at the same time :( a little less though.
I´m downloading the game now :)
I´ve tried the demo and played Left 4 dead on Xbox, which was fun :)
Hope to see ya guys in game, for some zombie slaughtering :D
