AA Spamming without even hitting the Titan Shield

Hi all,

at first I want to say i like your server and played a lot of time there, else I wouldn't even write here but give a **** of this ban.

btw sorry for my english, i hope its mostly correct. my last lesson was 8 years ago...

I played last night with my girlfriend on your server and sat in the titan AA gun. Both Titan shields were gone. I looked for starting helis without shooting just with my eyes. Then I saw an enemy walking on the enemy titan...I recognized I can aim at him with the AA, one single shot and he was dead.

At first I was happy aboubt this nice kill but ...obviously I killed the wrong guy. It was one of your admins. Then a message appeared: BANNED FOR TITAN AA SPAMMING!

But WTF not even one shot hitted the small shield ! I just killed this admin running there around.

Like I know, the laggs are caused by the flash when the AA gun hits the shield and not by just using the AA gun against helicopters or peoples. So the reason for this ban was absolutely NOT right.

I dont know who this Admin is but in my opinion it looks like he just banned me because he was pissed of that i killed him with the AA gun.

My second thought was...they ban without a warning? For peanuts like AA spamming what i actually havent done.....

Sry but should people with such a childish behaviour have admin rights? I had servers of other games myself and I know one should carefully look who gets the might about other players and uses them in a fair way.

I want to repeat that I absolutely understand that u ban for AA spamming at the shield and that is surely right but i think if u ban for AA spamming u should be 100% sure that the banned guy spammed the shield.

If its unsure a kick is enough because then u can see if the spamming stops.

Well i hope my post wasn't too unfriendly but maybe u understand that im a bit angry for that.

In fact I would like to play again with u guys if u unban me. If not I won't whine because im to proud to beg here around while I did nothing wrong.

Really a bad start when you call an admin "childish" if you want to get unbanned :neg:

It`s easy - we have rulez and you have to follow them - if you think they are peanuts or not -> Rulez in Deutsch (http://www.timelessgaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6497) - in the rulez you find :

7. Kein Geballer mit der Anti Air Kanone auf den anderen Titan! Weder auf das Schild, noch auf die Decks, auch wenn das Schild unten ist.

Instead of obeying the rulez and maybe take notice of the many ingame messages and the ton of kicks/bans that happen during a round - you decided to kill me on the topdeck of our titan. Rulez are cristal clear and got violated by your Soldier and the result was a ban for a week.

If I kick or ban - it`s my decision and has nothing to do if you killed me or another soldier! You better think twice before you use such words as "childish" or "****" ... it could easily backfire !

Dann mal beim Map laden besser aufpassen, und Ingame wird es auch mehr als oft erwähnt ...

Nebenbei sollte man halt auch mal darauf achten was sonst noch so passiert, besonders wenn kurz vorher die 7 noch besetzt war:

Well - Rulez are Rulez and if there is an admin on the server and does not enforce the rules - the moaning starts asap. Timeless is known to have a good admin cover and the servers are well populated. Guess why ....

u kicked her before ? i normaly kick one time, and sometimes also a 2nd time, 3rd is then a ban for a week. I was also on server that round and i kicked brubur 3 or 4 times, and finaly he recieved a weekban.

Well Gunther, it`s easy to be Com in a round and kick folks. But it´s useless, as they come back and end up in the banlist with a weekly ban so or so. Most admins actually PLAY on the maps and they know if kicks help or not. Kicks are mostly only a waste of time, specially if you check the logs. I checked a while ago Suez logs for 4 weeks, guess what ? 75% of the kicked players ended up on the banlists. So to plain numbers 75of100 kicks were a waste of time !

Overall - it`s up to the admin if he kicks or bans - remember ?

mmhh i have a totaly different meaning to that ( and the sum give me right ), when i kick aa noobis only 1-2 % of them come back and do again. A lot of players dont know that rules exist until today, so why then ban prompt ? It makes them more agressive or fronting style when they come in the forum then and ask why ban, but if u kick a AAS they will be more in wondering style and ask them self what happened. And beleave me its more human kind and quite more easy to talk to such, instead of hear : wtF ? wtH ??@! why u ban me u .....
or not ? think about it. I had such a situation 10 times yesterday, i kicked 10 different spammers, and when they rejoined server they nicely asked what they did wrong. I told then and voila they d eaten it and promised never do again.

So like i wrote, i have my own kind of give a breaker a 2nd chance already when hes ingame and not when hes already banned. I first warn, then kick, and if a boone do again he deserves himself a ban.

Gunther - we have 2 slightly different pov`s - but let´s not do again a long debate about aa spam and kick/bad. We can do that in admins if you want - but we had that all over and over again.

Nooblets get also a kick from me most of the times - but if a regular does it - he should got the message what is ok and what not on the server - don´t ya think ?

to 2. totaly agree, if its a brigardier or a often seen player doing this then a kick could be truely a waste of time.

Just a last comment from me. So I got kicked for beeing combat commander, i dont remember the situation but i surely used the titan guns as i often do on other servers when i command. now i know that its forbidden on your server to do so and as u see i didnt do it again after the kick. So it just helped keeping the rules without a ban.

also you're right if u say kicking or banning is an admin decision. it truely is. but one shouldn't forget that other players are no bots. in my mind an admin is also a leader. but btw...i would really like my boss to ban me for a week from work when i do something wrong :P

well the ban did his work too. know i know the rulez and wont break them again
