Is the DVD disk clean? Can you play a clean/new dvd? Try another media player

to play your disk from,(winamp/foobar2000/windows media player/power DVD etc)

can you check the dvd on another PC or DVD player?

If you can get hole of an external DVD drive, connect by USB and see if this works.

Sounds like you could either have a dodgey media play, DVD disk or DVD drive.

i had the same problem! long time ago.. i´m trying to remember what i did, to make it work.. I´ll get back to you on that one!

and a question: Is the dvd laggy in all formats? Fullscreen laggy, small screen no lag?

1. reinstall itunes if you removed it.
2. try installing the k-lite codec pack, shouldnt help really but i say its worth a try, cant really hurt can it

This sometimes works.. Try putting you Resolution to Maximum size and test the DVD, then try Minimum.. 640x.. etc.. I had a problem with my DVD because my resolution somehow caused trouble with DVD´s .. it worked for me, when i put it on biggest size..

Could be it.. It´s worth trying:) If this doesnt make it better, then buy a new drive:)
