hey guys...
ermm i saw a few people on DUMBsoldiers today POD surfing proper going up down all over map without hitting ground!
wtf is that? hacks?

Its a glitch that is being addressed in the next patch 1.40.
It is not alllowed on Timeless servers and at the discretion of the admin will get the perpertrator kicked or even banned.
If someone you see is foing it and it causes you concern becuase its affecting the gameplay then please let me know and we will do our best to track him/her down and deal with the issue. Let us know the name, what server it was on and the approximate time please.

What Deafsunchaser describes is something different. There u have to lay backwards on the scroll wheel then u can be in the air as long as u want. I dont think they will address ist in 1.4

The first screenshot was not the whole trip this guy made. Just what I could fit in the screenshot.
Whether its a few metres or as long as this it will still get you kicked or banned.
I don't do that, I only adjust my landing sometimes so that I don't get spawnkilled or don't land in the nowhere.
