very nice

not sure if AMD is the best choice at the minute...... but I like em :)

I actually dont know ATI's well but do you really need the 2 card?? Pete got me thinking this... I have used SLi since it came out, but why 2.....

apart from that sweet m8 :good2:

not that bad, but i would never pay extra for a soundcard just because they use the nick fatal1ty :)

to be honest u can get the same sound quality from on board sound now
and u dont get the driver issues like creative lol

and solid state too expensive for what they are no good in my system id fill them way to quick lol

im a big amd fan but at this moment in time amd dont have the speed to beat intel and they take a bit moor cooling

I got the Z5500's so has faceman and Mitch... Nice speakers. I use em for the living room now tho

bass is mint at max volume, no distortion. SSD RAID 0 is a good move

and you can OC that chip no prob.

Don't forget a 64bit OS is a good move too m8. I use vista 64 and no probs here

for a noticably good performance increase (maybe xp 64 would be better) ;)

Looks good m8 :)

The SSD drives are still faster m8 altho not cheap lolz.

I'm not gonna bother with sata SSD's, I'm gonna wait to see what happens to the pci-e SSD HDD's 1st.

Thanks for the feed back folks, I thought i would try the ssd drives mainly for os and other system files/games as for storage I have a 1TB NAS so storage aint really an issue on my gaming pc, all I want is speed. So the pair of 500GB of hdds would be enough for other junk that i would keep on my gaming rig.

As for the intel vs amd issue, I might go i7 920 and give the fatal1ity a miss (use the saving on the sound card to pay for the difference!!)

Pete made me think about going for a 4870x2 rather than the 4850x2 but i aint sure about the cost/performance difference I feel that the 100+ quid saving would leave me in a position to get better other specs and upgrade the gpu later from the 4850x2 (I am only using a BFG 8800GT OC2 so either card will be a huge upgrade for me in any case).

Just given me more to think about but thats a good thing dont wanna spend that much without doing some thinking!!

Cheers folks

Dude... oooold tread...

But Intel i7 920... Or if you really wanna kick the cat, go for the Intel i7 975 Extreme edition!

And Solid State, is simply incredible.. Speechless! It´s amazing speed!
