my documents/bf2142/screenshots or something like that

but pez is right x-fire is far better, you can choose the folder +publish pics to your profile with no fuss
AND you can take vids that you can post here really easily..

:indeed:
however, xfire has the enormous setback that when u use it and u havent necessarily got a 180 superdooper desktop it gives you a mega load of lag - unplayable in my case!

additionally, the ingame print screen button causes the game to freeze for what, 5 seconds and this is especially dangerous when around timeless folks , tagged and bagged without a chance.

take ur pick, i stick to the preset desktop one

.My Documents\battlefield 2142\Screenshots

kegNeggs: i think that's because the game is dumping two kinds of images, one jpg and one full rez/quality png, and unless i'm mistaken now but there should be a feature which makes the game only dump the jpg which doesnt make the game freeze up at all.

and if that's too annoying to check up on and if you don't wish to create a xfire acc then you can always dump using fraps where you can set the output format (png, bmp, jpg, etc).

and where would you be able to kill the png one out? ingame or wherever whenever?

If you just press Print Screen, it saves a .jpg and a .png in your documents/bf2142/screenshots folder. For me this freezes pc for ca. 5 sec.

I use fraps, on my home pc i can leave it capturing movies with no prob so i can select the pic i wan't, but it's very time intensive method, so i take a pic and you can't even notice it.

Thats exactley where I'd have expected it to put the pics, but I don't have a screen shots folder... really weird. I'll look at Frapps and Snagit to see if they'll do.

sorry man but i haven't been able to find it, either it's a unlisted/secret bf system command or it simply doesn't exist.

So.. easiest and best way imo is to unbind the game screenshot key, use that in fraps instead and set save location to the bf2142 screenshot dir.

Also fraps is badass (even if it looks like indiware), for instance it lets you pick in what format the image should be saved in as well as being able to display game fps so you don't have to mess with any .con which may result in you getting kicked out from places, also it might become handy if you end up seeing somethings completely crazy and by a press of a button you're recording ^^

and if you're annoyed by the fraps.com spam.. er.. just look for a better version :56:

ive started to just set folder view to details / type and delete all the png files now, much easier and and lot less hassle, as bert said - right click and delete lol
