Well ya, thats one of the reasons i prefer Bf2 over 2142 - the Choppers.
i dont like that 2142 chopper/jet/gunship thingy at all.

I love it in 2142.. apart from the shield glitch (which is still there -.-). Stupid thing is, the amount of times ive gunned in attack chopper, i never knew you could control the tv missile o.0.. until i saw a vid hahaha! I played for like a year aswell..
BF2 maps in general are better though IMO, its just boring getting unlocks - i really like the idea of pins and such

I really like the Cerebere landing map in 2142.
and i think that the ranks in 2142 are just spammed,
i would rank up every week, and besides they dont look authentic at all
while on the other hand the ranks in bf2 are just sexy,(once you reach 2nd Lt) and all of them are real theyre not silly symbols EA/Dice made up.
i actually feel ive achieved something when i rank up, unlike 2142.

Yes i do agree with that, and even when you play now - there still isnt that many high ranks and a lot of lower ranks playing, because you cant get your ranks stupidly. I saw a guy on 2142 leaderboards yesterday, i think he has been SC, he had 4 days gameplay, 90k carrer, and only 25k global, and his fav weapon was knife... pretty obvious whats happened there.
But my BF2 rank isnt very high, ive always had to start new soidlers because of forgetting their names (thats what i like about 2142 with the EA account first logging in) - but i still have an OK soilder, quite a few unlocks, but i didnt start playing long again before i got 2142 back in feb.

Ya i preorderd 2142 and played it the day it came out for like 3 and half months non stop, i just got back into bf2 last week and having a lot of fun its too bad that most people in this forum are more intrested in 2142, before 2142 came out "Timeless" servers both bf2 and SF were very popular.
Rank means you got more experience,true but ---

well i think its set on all the maps but im not sure, but all the main flight maps are in i believe - Dalian, kubra, gulf of oman,dragon valley
i played on karkand and sharqi other than that.

Well considering its a new server(ashoof just restarted it) and the hour..
im going to play there later myslef, and hopefully the Q8 guys will join as well

Yes, the Q8 stands for Kuwait, theyre really good guys and players
and ive played with them since like May last year. really hardcore bf2'ers.
