so, what in your opinion are the most thought provoking movies?, and if any of you say "dumb and dumber" il bite your knee caps off

well maybe not

mine are probably: Donnie Darko(my fav all time film), equilibrium, v for vendetta maybe, the dark knight, i kno alot might not think it, but i thought the new batman was very deep,
also the matrix sequels, but they made me think in a painful head scratching sort of way, i now always have a dictionary handy when im watch matrix reloaded

hmmmm thought provoking interesting

try:
Max (2002 john cusack, a bit of a what if movie, discussing the relationship between an art dealer and a certain german fella between the world wars)

American history X (1998, Ed norton, Avery Brooks)

Irréversible (2002, Monica Bellucci, Vincent Cassel, fabulous film played in reverse chronological order, film noir

Memento (2000, Guy Pearce, also in reverse chronological order with narrative sections in black and white. film about a man who has lost his ability to make new memories and is attempting to find his wifes killer)

Herbie Goes Bananas (1980, a deep study of a small car's stuggles to make it in a dangerous world, made worse when he stumbles over a countefit ring...)
