i think when an announce come at the top right of this announce there is a hide thingi
choosing hide mafia wars maybe disable it not sure tho :p
that only hides it from your frotn page, look in the section that you get friend requests, when you get a 'notification' from mafia wars, you can choose block this application to permentantly block it
