Hi am having trouble viewing my ribbons and badges when I go into the screen and click on any of the ribbons etc. my game completly shuts down. I can start it again no problem but if I try it again it just keeps doing the same thing any help would be appreciated.
Have you recently patched to 1.50 m8 ?

yes I have 1.5 installed on XP
Looks like a few people are having the same problem with 1.50 patch.
Try reinstalling 1.50 m8.
Try this if you can't reinstall 1.50....
Create a text document (.txt) and put the following text in.... (copy and paste this)
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142]
"Version"="1.01"
"BuildNr"="1.0.9.1"
Then rename the extention to .reg (so change .txt to .reg) you can call the file
anything you want ie.. anything.reg
Now double click on the file and this will reset your BF2142 to version 1.01/build 1.0.9.1
this will enable you to reinstall any patch above version 1.01.
This has saved me and other players many times, reinstalling the whole game.
So now i presume.... Patch FULL 1.50 then Northern strike then 1.50
OR Patch FULL 1.40 then then Northern strike then incremental 1.50
Its never hurt me this way and by all means you can see the text in the reg file
is far from malicious.
If you had a bad installation of a patch this will sort things so you can re-patch
with the same or previous, ealier patch.
Patch 1.50 from here btw... http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefiel...;storyid=23431
Hope this helps...
