hey i have been playing on the NS server and all the timeless servers for a while but now when i load the NS server it says a have a mod loaded and to revert to the normal 2142 (no mods) but the thing is i dont play with mods on or have never used 2142 mods
plz help

try reinstall and re patch. never had that problem but if reload dont sort it then i dont know what will. actually there is a folder in the bf2142 folder called mods you mite see if there is anything added/modified recently and try deleting it.

i have already previously re installed 2142 when i found the problem like 2 months ago i am looking in the mods folder now:17:
k in the mods i have 2 different files they are identical apart from the name and download date so.. not sure what to do tbh

ok move one of them to another folder and try it then if that doesnt work try moving the other one. i only have one so . . . . . .

gonna contact EA support i think
and i tired normal servers each time and they worked fine

i had about all problems with NS that are known so far ( modified content, unlocks, the lotta it!)
here is the deal to all problems with ns
1. Reinstall 2142
2. Patch to 1.4.
3. Install NS
4. Patch to 1.4.
5. Patch to 1.5.
worked for me, takes some time, but game runs bug free (almost though, thx EA) after!
i had this, but it did fix after a re-install of gamesspy (is that the right one lol cant remember)
Kegneggs and Chaoz are correct, you have to re-patch to solve this...
You probably installed like this ... BF>1.5>NS or BF>NS>1.5
but you need to do this... BF>1.5>NS>1.5 ;)

This is the correct one although it still may not work. there are values in the registry that need resetting and a re-install does not always clear them out. Don't go poking about in the registry unless you are sure of what you are doing.
You may also need to delete the BF2142 folder in your My Documents folder. You will have to set up your options and controls again if you do this.
Bottom line there is something in the 1.4 patch that is not included in the full 1.5 patch (Welcome to the world of DICE) If you use the incremental patch(s) the problem does not arise although players who use the incremental patch(s) crash the server in some cases.
The problem is one repeated from BF2 so you would have thought it would be fixed by now.
