Mic setup...

Dear support...

Hope I'm not being thick or lazy but I don't really understand the mic setup and test. How should I have the receive, transmit and threshold levels set? So far, I've assumed if the flickering bar stays green - that is good, and red means something is not good (maybe that's why there isn't anything in the manual about it). However, sometimes it is hard to hear other players.

I appreciate this might be hard to answer without knowing what spec machine I'm using, but I know next to nothing about audio anyway...

hey im no pc medic, but you will have a section in your sound set up or audio in bf2142 menu, go to that, in there you will see a TRANSMIT and RECIVE, there will be a slider under them, move the slider to the higher number to increase the sound, that should help you sort out the prob

Cheers rubix. When I set the receive volume to max the flickering bar in the test tends to go red and even more wobbly... does that matter?

nope turn of mic boost, if you can, and iff players say they have trouble hearing you just turn your transmit up, try and keep it in the green tho
