Hi, tis i LtBurton and just like to say that all your servers are top notch and i throughly enjoy playing on them. I have a few questions on some of the terminology used within your servers and i am wondering which part i should post in to ask them? 8-)

I have only really been active with bf2142 since around Feb this year and i dont want to annoy anyone by not following the rules for their forums.:oops:
One other thing that i have noticed is that on some of the different server's whilst i have been playing in a round, all of a sudden a small message comes up in front of me sometimes telling me that i have been killed by another player( even tho i am still playing?), i take it that it is some kind of cheat to gain points or something or am i some kind of elemental ghost in that round lol!! Ooo-err Spooky!!

1) At Timeless we have a 'Friendly Fire OFF' policy. This means it is possible to, for example, detonate RDX explosives in the presence of enemy/s, killing them without harming yourself. Some people don't like this and label players who do this as 'RDX n00bs', 'RDX Abusers', etc, so we invite them to visit 'Friendly Fire ON' sevrers instead as the majority of us think it's fun (and it is a game afterall). IMHO this is best enjoyed on a busy Suez Titan roof - come and have a look on the Titan roofs when Suez is full one night for demonstration ;)

2) Titan Camping probably refers to players who sit in the titan guns and spam the silos getting mucho kills, but no deaths. There is nothing wrong with doing this.

3) Base Rape refers to killing players who spawn in the 'Un-cap' base on CQ/AL maps. When the base has the locked icon you should only visit this area to destroy assets, if you kill someone while destroying assets then fair enough, but you should most definitely NOT kill people as they are spawning in this area IF the base is still locked. If the base is unlocked you are permitted to kill in this area.

4) Pod Surfing is a cheat which will hopefully be fixed once and for all in the up-coming 1.5 patch. I personally don't know (and don't want to know) how to do it, but basically a player can propel himself around a whole map in a pod without landing. It is blatant cheating and offenders are banned for life without warning.

it is good to see that Battlefield keeps attracting new players...
i will add a few things if i may autodork

2. just make sure you don't target your own team and continually spam areas when no ennemies are around. it can be very disruptive for your teammates who are fighting on the ground. also don't forget to spot ennemies, it helps a lot.
5. there is another one. AA spamming. only shoot AA titan guns against aircrafts once they are out of the hangar. just don't target the ennemy titan because it causes lag to everyone.

3 and 4 will get you banned from almost any server.

creepy i know, but i think it is only a bug and it doesn't affect your stats.

loooool.......yeah Lt. it happens to all of us and its definetly a Bug - i checked it by myself and the guy who killed me got no points for that ! so dont worry....
