If you want to be able to play it you can download it here but its not official http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=78437 , as it's not official what your going to have to do is go into start/mycomputer/C:drive/programs/electronicarts and you will be faced with the Battlefield2142 folder, you then have to copy the 2142 folder to you desktop and rename it Battlefield21, then you install the map, and if you want to play BF2142 vanilla you have to switch the folders and also the names as battlefield2142 is the pathway otherwise you will have to uninstall and reinstall the game, patches and booster pack. Its okay but hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yeah sort of drokking plain
Rougu3granny, can u confirm that this works at all, have u tried it ? Its the Tampa bay map added.

Thanks for this mate, great find. I was looking everywhere but these bloody things aren't in google cache yet, seems only 4net has it but i saw servers everywhere, 13 I think, no one on them though lol

Its kosher man, I actually liked the bf2 version, been wanting to see how it would work on bf2142

Obviously i did read it and its not obvious u played it. U could of judged the map by the recent release of the same map in BF2 and U could of been told by a friend about it. Can't see this being any use to you either unless there is a knife/dogtag server using it.;)

Good thing about this map is that there is loads of Armour, so maybe and that’s a big maybe you might get you kill/death ratio over 2, but i doubt it. :mrgreen:
And your right it's not obvious that is its not obvious to a _______ as it is in the forums under the heading of Battlefield 2142, in the forum the post was going by the title of New map Beta, i never ever mentioned BF2 and its obvious you didn’t even check the link, otherwise i wouldn’t have to explain this to you as im sure i counted at least 8 screenshots of the map in question :D
And i read your post it QWET and dont mention it, next time just go via the link.

2142 Beta Update and Highway Tampa Now Out
The future Highway Tampa is here! Download the 2142 version of the newest Battlefield map brought to you by Intel and EA DICE then jump into the 1.4 beta. Featuring Titan and Dual Assault Lines this map focuses on classic Battlefield vehicle warfare with a futuristic twist. In Dual Assault lines each team can capture the enemies’ home base by controlling all of the neutral points. Whether you choose to skillfully coordinate your mechanized assault or dominate through overwhelming force Highway Tampa is the newest home of all out warfare.
The Battlefield 2142 1.4 beta update includes the following changes:
- Fixed an exploit that would allow commanders to call Orbital and EMP strikes before it had fully recharged.
- The Clark RDX Shotgun can now detonate other nearby explosives.
- EU Assault Rifle recoil and deviation have been slightly reduced.
- Bianchi and Shuko LMGs recoil reduced.
- Clark Shotgun rate of fire increased.
- Added an autosave to kit customisations. After you customise a kit and spawn in with that kit, the customisation will be automatically saved until you change it and spawn in again. Note that you must spawn in with a particular kit for it to be saved.

Seems that they don't find pod spinning a problem.
Yeah the shotgun.. for a while i thought sum was usin a hack. I Like the autosave kit feature. I wonder wot else has changed as regards to the commander hack.

Very fast download, using this torrent. Just uncheck the full patch and not the incremental unless your doing fresh install obv ;)

Well i played it finally after like 3 months of not playing 2142 at all, and its a real fun map for gunship or ever better gunner of a good pilot. Not much sense of teamwork though as its just a big ass map for vehicles and nothing much than a few little built up areas, but its fun i guess :P.
