Do you think pod spinning is Cheating?
Is the use of pods this way fair?
Should it be allowed?
Why is it/is not cheating?
Why is it/is not unfair?
And why should it be/not be allowed?
U use spawn beacon pod to send ur pod anythin up to 500 meters away from spawn beacon. Dunno wot people are callin it but pod spinning is wot i've heard it called.
thay call it FLy becon in top players World :)

What's POD spinning?
Well you know when you spawn on the squad beacon, you can make the pod fall away from the beacon so as to avoid people camping the spawn point.
I tested it on a server and the furthest you can move from the beacon is up to 500m, however in maps like Camp it can have a negative impact on the flow of play when used in conjunction with rdx.
i think no, i use it often on timeless titan servers if a spawn beacon is on the top of the titan where everyone uses RDX, i spin my pod to get on the lower deck of the titan, so when i spawn i don't get instantly killed by RDX the second i land on the titan.
Ah right i get you. its quite useful if you're on titan and its gettin camped then. Don't see how its cheating tho.

This ain't cheating though ash, you can't call something cheating because you disagree with it. Also EA have only stated that it's legal.
Wheither you think it's wrong or unfair or ruins gameplay is a different matter, but cheating implies using a hack, this ain't a hack.

It's only the same as using RDX to get on roofs.
I think we have talked about this enough.
OK its not a cheat, but neither is shooting through walls. It is a glitch and wont be allowed.
If you combined the spin with my RDX habit, the opposition on our conquest servers would be voting me off the game constantly.
If it helps to capture flags further up/down the map, e.g gibralter, im all for it, saves being stuck at same location dodging nades whole round.

This is like jumping in a teleporter and appearing at the other side of the enemy. RDX users (like me) would have a geat time. But what is the point of playing on conquest and pressing the enemy back when they can just jump over your head.
Using RDX as JX suggests is not an exploit, the person using the RDX is using it legitimately....when a guy uses RDX in this fashion in an FF-OFF server he may make it of course lolz but with pod spinning i believe this is not meant to be used in the game this way in which case its an exploit (of poor programming/design) I think it would be unfair to call it cheating but in the grounds of fowl or dirty play, like base/spawn raping/camping, jihad jeep, rams and kami etc
to me its cheating ..plain and simple ..Why i hear you ask ..the game gives the beckon as a spawn point when your dead ...NOT a means of travel ..thats why your guy has to run ffs or use a vehicle ..not to cheat via crap dynamics of EA's stupidity ... simple thing is EA will eventually fix it and put an end to people using it to travel across the map or onto buildings .
most maps are Assault - that means to take tactical control via ground or mobile method ie buggys walkers apc's etc not to surf via the pod then place ur beckon at the other end and base rape etc and ruin the game ....if i was admin id tell them that their getting removed due to exploiting the dynamics of the game at a unfair advantage to win .. if they told me to F off etc id say np's BAN

Although i agree with u, i beg to differ in the case of the differences between exploits and cheating. Pod surfing is an exploit and so is wall hacking, people will refer to these people as cheats of course but these people are using exploits. Using a 3rd party ware, modifying the game etc is cheating. They are simply making use of something that as been over-looked in the original programming and like u say will ultimately be patched up....one day. Without a doubt i'm sure u agree people who use exploits/glitches and hacks etc or cheat or spoil the game in ways like base raping etc should be punished as in general this upsets most players.
