it would be nice if som1 know somthin about a patch which would eneble me to play bf 2142 without cd. i tryd one so far but it dosent work. i hope i wont have to buy a new game.

Well you can if you use xp, make a clone of your dvd or a friends and play with Deamon tools.

it succeded for one of my friends will ask him how he did it.

Use metal polish. The game code is embedded behind a few mills of plastic. Scratching the plastic distorts the laser from picking up the info. If you use metal polish its just fine enough to @score@ away the indents allowing the laser to see the code again but doesnt make it over opagq. Works everytime for me and trust me with my kids I would get rid of loads of cd's

Think the idea I got is the same as catziggy had... my brother has a polish for CDs to kind of renew them... you put that on the CD and should run well then again =)

If not, try sending EA your CD and ask them for a new one =) perhaps you even get a new Key with it lol =D

i did this lmaooo but it wasnt scratched it was broken into 2 pieces some how in my dvd drive lol, i just bought another only £10 off of amazon i think

Just another idea, I have found that silicone polish can help with the surface, the scratches that cause the most problems are the ones following the circular tracks so look out for any of those especially. Hop that helps m8

Silicon shoe shine shud do the trick... you can get em cheap from

supermarket 50p Good for polishing items too before u sell em etc.

In your car too, dashboard etc. Shine up your thingi :56:

ok i got it to work than i made an image with deamon tools so now i ply with no cd. 10x all
