Hey guys,
Would you mind taking a look at, and checking up on your BattleCorder on something please??!!??!!??
Something happened this morning that I have no idea how the player accomplished it (other than the assumption of it being a glitch), but I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions after the facts!
I rejoined the "Timeless Suez" server after a short break this morning, when I returned I spawned straight onto my own teams "PAC Titan", within the protected area of the "Upper Decks", roughly between 06:05 - 06:07 AM (GMT).
I was situated just infront of the "Titan Gun Firing Consoles" and our Titan was literally seconds from being destroyed. Due to this fact, I knew I couldn't be of any help anywhere or change any of the circumstances of the game and it was pointless doing anything, so I dropped prone and decided to wait right where I was for the game to end...
...Whereupon, I was promptly killed by a "Sentry Gun" 10-15 seconds before our Titan then blew up!
Bearing in mind I was lying prone, still "safely within the fully protected area of the Titan", I'm sure you would agree that something highly suspect was going on. For any player to be killed situated at that location, and to be killed there by a "Sentry Gun" is not possible under "normal" playing conditions obviously!!
The Sentry Gun that took me out belonged to player name:- Smoking-C@sh
Whilst I have seen this player around a lot on a few servers, I have noticed that they often do some very odd things in game lol. At times their method of play can be a little strange with what they do to say the least lol (one very strange habit that can be easily viewed on a BattleCorder for example, is this player often throughout a game placing a Sentry Gun down, then placing an Infantry Shield directly infront of it, and then repeatedly knifing the Sentry Gun until it, and the shield both blow up, I mean, what the hell is all that about rofl???). Granted, none of this is in any way at all indicative of cheating, just an observation of some seriously "odd behaviour" LOL ;o)!
I can't say I have ever seen any complaints of this particular player cheating, or noticed that they may be actually cheating either personally. However, this unfortunately doesn't alter the facts of what happened.
I'm hoping this is one of those cases of the many ingame glitches that we can still thank EA/DICE for coding into BF 2142 in the first place. Nevertheless, it happened, and rather than it becoming a habit for this player, or it possibly already being a tried and tested method for them that may have gone unnoticed until now, would you mind taking a moment to look into it please guys?
