This is for Windows 7 and Vista.

You know how it is.. you are going to write in the shouty and it become like this: 03 NEEDS IDLERS.

and then: ops sorry caps :(.

Well the solution is here :good3:
Just disable caps lock (wich is in no good use anyways)

I did follow METHOD TWO: The Manual Way.

Follow the link if you want to see pictures.

1. Open the Start Menu.

2. In the white line (Start Search) area, type regedit and press Enter.

3. Click on Continue in the UAC prompt.

4. In regedit, go to: (See screenshot below)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Keyboard Layout

5. To Disable the Caps Lock Key -

A) In the right pane, right click on a empty area and click on New and Binary Value. (See screenshot above)

B) Type Scancode Map and press Enter. (See screenshot below)

C) Right click on Scancode Map and click on Modify.

There is another way much... much more complicated, but can remap keys when you play BC2 only:!:

Firstly, is this really a problem while gaming? In my experience you usually don't type enough in-game to warrant actually going out of your way to disable such a key. Also, if you disable caps lock, then how do you bring up the squad screen in BF2/BF2142? (If you have to re-map it then what's the point?) Or does this just disable the caps-lock functionality, but not the key itself?

Personally, I sometimes end up pressing the caps lock key by accident when I'm working on my laptop (read: working, if it happens when I play I don't care). It still not annoying enough for me to do anything about it. It's pretty cool that it's possible tho.

It disable caps lock totally i think. Dont know if it works if you assain it to a funktion ingame though, might work? have to try that.
But i think this is great news.

I hate when i write with caps on, that means i have to re-write again. i always have to edit my spelling anyways and that is enough for me :)
And i dont think !w !k !b works with caps on.

I was really thinking of taking it away from the keyboard and burn it but this is better :)

I will never use it again!! (maby in bf3 if its needed)

Edit: i changed my signature ;)

"Your IP is 83.233.145.12! Your ISP is Skycom AB! You are running Linux and using Chrome!". Interesting, I don't have a clue what Skycom AB is. I need to investigate this! o.O
